Cancelling Craft + Commerce was not an easy decision

Published almost 3 years ago • 1 min read

Hey Creators,

I’ve got some Craft + Commerce news to share with you today.

First, we’re planning for Craft + Commerce to be back and better than ever in 2022.

Second, we will not be rescheduling Craft + Commerce for 2021, and we've issued full refunds to all Craft + Commerce 2020/2021 ticket holders who had held onto their tickets for potential credit toward an event this year.

Cancelling our flagship conference two years running is not a decision we took lightly, but your health and safety always come first. The current uncertainty around the risk of large indoor events coupled with recommendations from top-level public health organizations to limit non-essential travel continue to make holding events like Craft + Commerce unsafe.

Many have also asked whether Craft + Commerce might be recast as a virtual event. Though we considered what a virtual version of the event might look like, we don’t think it can meet expectations for the experience Craft + Commerce has become known for.

We can’t wait to see you when it’s safe to come together in person. Until then, stay safe, stay healthy, and we’re excited to keep watching what you create!

The future belongs to creators,

Tyler
